At Blossoms, we're passionate about creating a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive. Based in Southend-on-Sea in Essex, we exist to fill a vital gap in activities and support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), complex needs, and their families. We know that finding inclusive, accessible, and meaningful opportunities can be a challenge—and that's where we come in.
Blossoms was established on the belief that every child deserves to play, learn, and connect in a safe and supportive environment, no matter the ability. Our sessions are designed to nurture confidence, creativity, and joy—tailored with care to meet individual needs.
Ellie, the founder of Blossoms, brings extensive experience in caring for children with complex and profound needs. She has also completed a degree in SEND and Disability Studies, deepening her understanding and strengthening her commitment to this field. Her passion for supporting children and families has been shaped by years of hands-on work in complex needs care.
Recognising the lack of accessible and enriching activities for children with additional needs in Southend-on-Sea, Ellie has created Blossoms to be a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for children to play, grow, and connect. Her vision is to build a service that not only provides tailored support for children with SEND and complex needs but also offers families a network of understanding, empathy, and encouragement.
