At Blossoms, we are passionate about creating a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive. Based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, we exist to fill a vital gap in activities and support for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), complex needs, and their families. We understand that finding inclusive, accessible, and meaningful opportunities can be challenging — and that’s where we come in.
Blossoms was founded on the belief that every child deserves the chance to play, learn, and connect in a safe, nurturing environment, regardless of ability. Our sessions are thoughtfully designed to build confidence, encourage creativity, and spark joy, with each activity carefully tailored to meet individual needs. But our support goes beyond the children — we are here for families too, offering a community built on understanding, empathy, and connection.
I founded Blossoms SEND in May 2025. I bring extensive experience in caring for children with complex and profound medical and physical needs, alongside a First class Honours degree in SEND and Disability Studies. My passion for supporting children and families is deeply rooted in years of hands-on work within complex needs care.
Recognising the lack of accessible and enriching opportunities for children with additional needs in Southend-on-Sea, I created Blossoms as a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where children can play, grow, and truly be themselves. My vision is to build a service that not only provides tailored support for children with SEND and complex needs, but is also driven by my dream of Blossoms House — a place where children can come to make memories all year round and be celebrated for exactly who they are.
